Motherhood is hard.
And too often “mom temptations” go unnoticed: temptations to meet our primal needs for love, security, and control in unhealthy ways rather than trusting and welcoming Jesus into our mess. We understand these temptations all too well. But we also know the never-ending grace of God and his transformative power in our lives and in the world.
This site is for mothers of all ages who want to get honest about themselves and their parenting and who want to press into a deeper relationship with Jesus. Here, you will find stories of moms doing just that - along with music, art, and excerpts from the book we are writing about spiritual formation for moms.
Moms at the Well
Our first book, Moms at the Well, will be released on April 30th, 2024.
This seven-week Bible study offers a modern-day "well" for mothers—a gathering place to encourage one another, take an honest look at the challenges we face as moms, and experience the God who invites us into a process of spiritual transformation.
Meet Kathy and Tara
We have been friends, writing partners, and in the same prayer group for more than a decade. We both have doctorates in human development and psychology. Kathy has been in ministry with InterVarsity serving undergraduate & graduate students as well as faculty for more than thirty years. She’s also a certified spiritual director. Tara currently volunteers with Emerson Prison Initiative, teaching college courses to men in prison. Our prayer is that other women will find here some of what has sustained us through twenty-five years of motherhood.
